Vermont Tax Form

Hello Fellow Hosts,

Has anyone in Vermont received the tax form that Airbnb is supposed to send us regarding our earnings? I have been in a support conversation for 4 1/2 hours and my only response has been that I should talk to a tax professional. Seriously??

Below is directly from Airbnb's website:

The reporting threshold is lower than the IRS threshold of $20,000 and 200 transactions. Both MA and VT have an information reporting requirement where gross earnings exceed $600. Gross earnings above $600 is not reportable to the IRS because it's below the federal reporting threshold of $20K and 200 transactions, but is reportable to the state because it's above the state threshold of $600. If you met the state threshold, you’ll receive a printed form that has been filed with your respective state.

We have met the threshold for Vermont reporting, but have received nothing from Airbnb. Has anyone?

Thanks!

I also rent in VT and have not seen a formal form from ABnB, they report directly to VT and your registration number is on the Listing/Local Regulations page for your occupancy tax.  Your earning summary on the progress page will give you the detail of your transactions for income tax purposes.  You can d'l in CSV and pass on to your accountant.  I am an out of state owner so I do not file VT Income taxes, so there is no requirement for me to file any physical form.  Not sure what this form will tell you in adition to what you already know.  They are right for you to consult with your tax professional and don't trust any tax advice from ABnB.
