Why two emails?

I already have and had an account with password using Google gmail but when prompted to add the Airbnb app to my phone it wants to use a FB connection and doesn't allow the gmail email entry without treating me as a new account & creating a new password?

Just trying to take my photo and Airbnb recommends using the App to do so.
