i would like to know if my credit card charge will be a US charge or foreign charge

I know that Airbnb charges a 3% conversion fee and shows me the price with that included in US dollars. I want to know if my Sydney reservation by me in the USA will be charged as a USA credit card charge or a foreign charge. I want to know if I need to use my free foreign transaction credit card or if I can use a card that gives me cash back for travel charges ( but not free foreign transaction fees). Basically am i going to pay foreign transaction fees twice one from airbnb and one from my credit card company?  I can not find the answer. Thanks!

@Genevieve71 - the price you see on the Airbnb website, assuming that you are looking at the US site and not another, will be the price they charge you which includes any conversion fees. Assuming the cost is being shown to you in US dollars.  The fees your credit card charge for that conversion are above and beyond.  Airbnb has no control over those.   So if you credit card charges fees and Airbnb rounds up the costs to include the conversion fees, then yes, you will be charged twice.   You can call your credit card company to be sure, and even know what the total bill will be.
