missing special offer button

missing special offer button

hej, I am missing special offer option... Ther is no item where I could press that and offer some other room. Why?

I am also missing a special offer button today! Anyone else having problems with this just now? I have checked different browsers on my laptop as well as the app and replying to the emails.  no button!

Same issue. I called Airbnb and they said I would either have to Accept or Decline the reservation and then the Special Offer would show up. Seems like this is after the fact and could cause confusion and conflict with the guests.

 

In my case, I have had instances where guests book with the wrong number of guests. I simply want to change their reservation to the proper number of guests before they book so they can see the price difference, in advance, and are fine with it.

The special offer button shows up at the start only for reservation inquiries. It doesn't show for reservation requests. For requests you have the option to accept or decline. For inquiries you'll see the option to pre-approve or decline.

When a guest sends a reservation request they're ready to commit to book at the advertised price whereas when they send an inquiry they're not yet ready to book as they may have some questions so having the ability to send a special offer may entice them to send a reservation request in this case.

 

If someone has sent a request and then wants to change the number of guests either you or they can send a change request. You can go to their reservation, click "change or cancel" and follow the process to change the number of guests. The guest must then accept the change for it to come into effect.
