replace a credit card in my account

I can't remove my default credit card that has expired - any suggestions?

To the best of my knowledge, you will need to add a new one; make the new credit card the default, then delete the old one.

Sometimes, I find that if I make any changes, I have to save the change, hop out of the application, then hop back in before it 'takes' - there's no logical rhyme or reason for this that I can see, but for me it gets me over the line.
