Amended reservation - card for refund is no longer valid

Hello,

I amended a reservation yesterday because one person is no longer travelling with me, so the total cost of the reservation is a bit cheaper. Airbnb is trying to refund this difference to the card I originally used to pay for the reservation, but that card was cancelled by my bank a few weeks ago and I was sent a new one. Will Airbnb prompt me to use a different card when that refund bounces back? Thank you!

If your bank merely issued you with a new card as the old one had experied then all credits and debits will be allocated to your new card.

If the bank cancelled your card at your request (say for example due to fraud) then most banks will also return any credits to your new card.
