Cancellations

If I have a customer make a reservation, realize an error, and request that I cancel it right away, how do I handle this so that I am not penalized with loss of hosting status and locked up dates? That does not make any sense.

The guest can (and should) cancel from their end since it was their error. You don't want to cancel from yours or you will be penalized.

 

You can tell them you'll refund the full amount (assuming that's what you'd want to do), but that they probably won't be refunded the Airbnb fee (they can take that up with customer service).
