Extending a guest's stay

I recently had a booking for a 4 night stay, the guest contacted me to ask if they could add another 2 nights to the stay.  I wasn't sure how to do this as my property has a minimum 3 night stay. I was reluctant to ask the guest to cancel the original booking and start again, as I thought someone else might "jump in" and book those nights (I use instant bookings). So I reduced temporarily my minimum stay to 2 nights.  Is there a better way to extend an existing booking?

@Michelle561 Yes, there is the option to change the booking - on top of the message box. Ask your guest to request a longer stay.
