Guests can't find the wifi password on the airbnb website.

Several guests have reported that they can't find the wifi password on the airbnb website. I can't help them because I have no idea how the house manual looks on the guests side. Why does airbnb not care about this issue?

If you can see the password in your House Manual then they can too. Are you sure that's where you typed the information? Guests see the House Manual on their itinerary - after they've paid for their reservation. That's where they need to look for it.

You should keep a printed copy of your House Manual in your rental property so the guests can easily and quickly find all the information they need.

My question is not "how do I resolve this issue?"  since the answer is obvious, but rather why does airbnb is not doing anything to make it easier for people to get the wifi password I would be reluctant if it was just one person, but almost every single guest has had to come back and ask me what the password is.

When people are travelling they can't and don't print off your house manual. We have the very same thing happen - I think it is because there is so much detail. We just have a piece of paper printed and put it on the bed with a few final details: such as enjoy your stay, here is the wifi, map with local restaurants, and reminder to check door is locked when going in and out of the appartment.

Still wondering what this looks like, where it shows up on the screen/intinerary... caused an issue with a recent guest.

@Oscar16, as this is simply a forum for hosts to share experiences and advice among themselves, you need to ask the question directly to AirBnB.

Actually no. We don't have to ask Airbnb. If someone else knows the answer they should say it. There is a way once you have booked a home to see the Wi-Fi system information. I am looking for that now so I can explain it to future tenants.

Ludicrous. The "number 1" issue I have with guests checking in is the wifi password. It is input on my house manuel, so indeed I've done my part. Right? Or am I missing something? Without fail, every guest asks "what is the wifi password?"

I am staying at an Airbnb site next week. I have been in touch with my host and she suggested that I contact Airbnb to access the password to her wifi. She said that they should have sent me an email with step by step instructions of how to get the password once our reservation was paid for. I have never received any such email. The password is not listed in her House Manual. She suggested I google "How to access Airbnb wifi passwords" and I am not seeing any options that offer the information, including this one. Does anyone have information on how to contact Airbnb about this?

Why not just use a WifiHere product www.wifihere.co and allow your guests get online on their mobile or iPads in a single tap or scan ? Have one in each room on the wall or have one in a central location and boom it’s not as issue anymore 🙂
