Holiday Weekend rate not charged when person made a reservation

 About 5/18/2019, I increased the nightly rate for the weekend of 8/30/2019 thru 9/2/2019 to reflect a holiday weekend.

On 5/24/2019, a guest made a reservation for that weekend but were only charged our base rate.

I was out of town but when I got back I had received an email from Airbnb that there was a problem that effected rates and it looked like one of my reservations was included.  And that Airbnb would credit me the difference of the rate when the reservation happened.

Because I got this email,  I didn't contact the guest to let them know the rate was incorrect.

The guest is to check in this Friday, 8/30/2019.  I can't find the email and I have contacted Airbnb support.  The support person has just asked me to continue to look for the email.  I have done so.

Has anyone else had this problem?  This happened the first year we listed our home Spring 2016.  But the amount wasn't as significant so I let it go.

@Alison557

As the reservation still has to start, maybe wait until payout is sent and if you are not payed the extra money (should be in your Transaction History), then contact Airbnb. The email from CS is normally in your Inbox and is sent by "Airbnb support". Sometimes it ends up in Travelling section.

Best regards,
