How can I change the home highlights? I have never offered breakfast and now it says i am one of the few in the area that do....I dont. How do I get rid of this?????
Good question. Chuck this one to another one of Airbnb's annoying (and stupid) ideas.
Somebody on another forum was recently guest and got to see the whoppingly crazy guest review procedure. Now guests are asked what (icon choices) made the listing stand out in their view. Maybe fat finger using the phone app or guests thought the coffee/snacks you may have left for them count as breakfast...
You could try calling Airbnb but probably won't change anything.
If the breakfast comment is too visible I'd pro-creatively include comment in a pre- or post-booking message that contrary to what the site highlights as guest loving, you don't and never have offered it to make sure you don't have to deal with disappointed reactions.
@Laura382 and just so happens the post underneath yours in CC is a host referring to that same other post and has added screenshots of the new tedious review process
@Laura382 Go to Listing then Amenities, click Edit then go to Additional Amenities and click Edit. Scroll down and uncheck breakfast there and it will go away. Don't foget to save it.
Letti, We can't change Home Highlights, it is all stemming from guest ticks. I tried to look up your listing to see what it said about yours but couldn't find it, have you snoozed the listing? The Highlights are the first three things in a big white box before your own blurb. it will say things like ''95 percent of guests found it sparkling clean'' or whatever.
So if this guest ticked breakfast, it doesn't matter what is actually on the listing. It will be there, above anything you say.
@Sandra126 I do not understand why you could not see my listing? You click on my Profile picture and then view my Profile scroll down and click on the listing. It should be there. But back to the main issue. No, the breakfast provided comes from her Amenity check off list, not the guests. She checked Breakfast as an Amentiy. AirBnB and most people would then consider this as a provided item. The Home Highlights come from a mixture of your listed Amenities and guests reviews. One of my constant Home Highlights is: This is one of the few homes in San Antonio to provide a fireplace." It's 80-110 degrees in San Antonio for at least 9-10 months out of the year." No guest would ever comment on it. It's stupid in Summer at 100+ degrees that this is one of the Highlights constantly being shown about my listing.
@Letti0, I did what I normally do, the profile is there, the reviews are there, but listing is missing. Probably a temporary glitch. I tested another host and it's the same story there.
