How best to ensure I get extra cash payment for extra guests?

I charge $10 extra cash per day for up to 1 extra guest.

I recently updated my profile to say that if the guest is bringing an extra guest on the same day they arrive, that they must pay at least the first month in cash on the first day they arrive before I give them the key.

Many guests come from overseas, so I suppose they would have to convert money in their currency to Australian currency at the airport when they arrive in Australia to do this.

Is this a fair policy?

My current guest said he would pay me cash for the guest on the first day but he has neglected to do this. It is now the second day, so I am going to ask him for it.

@David3418  It is not allowed to charge guests in cash on Airbnb. If the guest tells Airbnb you have done this, it will be grounds for delisting you. You should charge the extra guest fees through the Airbnb site.

I suggest you remove the wording about paying cash on arrival from your listing ASAP.
