I accepted young woman's reservation for her dad and his girlfriend...lesson learned with question

The young woman's dad and his girlfriend did not read my post, so house rules were awkward as they were choked (no shoes in house). Also, the woman wore insane perfume (also a "no" in house rules). After a week of fans and cleaning every surface it still completely reeks. Also, while I have no proof, I suspect they were smoking pot, based on smell and odd coughing with the bath fan on. It's nt aot the pot, it's about house rule of no smoking/burnign stuff in guest area. Obviously, they were guests I'd never have back. I'd rather not deal with reviewing them at all, because I'm not sure how to put it all politely, but either way, it ends up on daughter's profile. All aound weirdness I shoudl have avoided from teh get go... Ideas?

@Alina5 Hey Alina, I'm a really new host but I have had 2 guest stay so far and multiple requests that are the same situation that you are describing- other people trying to book for someone else. Personally, I have said no to everyone because why can't that person make their own profile? Who is really staying there?- I want to make sure they are verified etc. Anyways I am pretty sure you can report it to Airbnb if its been less than 48 hrs and since you have it listed in your house rules you might be able to get some of your security deposit- if you have one/ report it in 48 hrs. Hi Laney, Thanks for writing back. I think I needed to ask the queston here just to get it together it my head. I just left a review. I was honest without being specific. Just said I learned a lesson and that all hosts should follow rule of no 3rd Party reservations. That rule is for a good reason, and it's best to communicate directly with actual potential guests.

I was being a nice jerk because the young woman lives somewhat in my neighborhood, and it was for her dad visiting for the weekend.

I've only been doing this since January, but I had two requests early on that I rejected flat out. Big red flags. Just weird. a mom for a 27 year old son...really? No way. So, I learned a leson and paid by having (lots) of super stinky perfume to deal with. Originally, I phrased it more as a request for no perfume and now it's a 100% rule --no perfume! I'd rather not make money than feel like a bug under a fumigation fog!

Depsite the weirdness, it's good to learn along the way!

I am sorry for this difficult situation.  In the future, I would recommend you let the guest booking that they also need to stay during the reservation.  Third party bookings are against Airbnb's terms and conditions.
