Lost property

A valuable item has been found in our apartment that does not belong to us. By a processs of elimination we think know who left it; they stayed in the apartment over Christmas. How do I contact them by email to ask them if it is theirs?

I would contact them through the Airbnb messaging system.

Hi there, we have found a child's soft toy recently.  The email address has expired.  Does anyone know how to contact the visitors?

Thanks!

Sally

The only other way to contact would be by the phone number in the confirmation. I would hold it for 30 after the guest checks out and then discard it, if it is not claimed. 30 days is a pretty standard policy for nominal value lost property.

Yes... but she did say that this item of nominal value is valuable.

@Mark26 sorry should have specified that I was responding to @Sally150 who was asking about a lost soft toy. Obviously, if the item is extremely valuable you should turn it in the Police or Government Unclaimed Property Office.

Thanks, it looks like one of those soft toys that has no value except to the wee one who lost it...
