Hi,
I just pre-approved someone to stay for two nights at our place, however the booking is coming up as not possible. What does this mean? Does this mean that the guest no longer can book for these dates or does this mean something has gone wrong on my end. Can someone please help.
Thanks in advance
Mano
Hi @Mano0,
This usually means that you have already booked someone for one or both of those dates or you have those dates blocked off on your calendar and therefore it is "not possible".

Or, it means that the guest booked someplace else.
But the guest is still interested, and I have not booked those dates. They are still wide open

I have the same issue - I haven't booked the space, but I don't actually know whether the guest is still interested or not because there's not indication either way. I would like direct confirmation from Airbnb staff, instead of guessing. Thanks!
I've received a "Not possible" listing but I had approved this guest. Nothing else was booked. Has he changed his mind? How do we know? I have written to him and I am waiting for a response as it was just posted today. What would anyone suggest?
I have a guest interested in booking in a few months. I sent a Pre-Approval offer not even 24 hours ago. She messaged me this morning Airbnb had a problem with a verification, and now the reservation is coming up as "Not Possible". Furthermore, the dates are blocked out on my calendar as "Pending". I'm at a loss as to what to do!
Thanks for your insight --
Sometimes the guests take time to upload their ID and Airbnb blocks the booking temporerly until it succeds to get the ID verified, and that is why "not possible" pops up, nothing can be done until the guest identifies themselves as per the Airbnb regulations. This protect us, not the opposite. It happened to me twice and in one case it was a scammer. They also try to use the Airbnb platform to pay cash but we never know what intentions they have if they do not want identify themselves.... I always refuse to go into that trap.
