Payout for extra service, Timing & Charge

Dear 

i have a question, sometime host ask us to book ticket, car or whatever service. I usually top up 10% as a service fee. And this request normally happen before the guest's check in. 

I have two concerns if I use the request for extra service in the resolution center,

1.) when will the payout of this "service" be paid upon the guest made the payment. (After the check in & together with the host payout? or once after the guest paid even they not yet check in), i ask this, as some group of guest buying 10 or more tickets, and that a big amount to me. 

2.) And will this extra service being charged to host(3%) and guest(1x%) like the hosting fee?

do any one have similar experience or know exactly how they handle on this

I would personally not recoup these costs through the resolution center.   I would use another form of payment like paypal or bitcoin or credit card payment to charge for extra services.  For this situation I would email the guest the information using the anonymized email address to discuss these non-booking related services.  I have been hosting for six years, have multiple listings, and do off-site communication all the time, although I know it's an unpopular strategy.   I keep all booking related issues within the Airbnb thread, but frankly the platform is not robust enough for my particular needs.   So I do off-site communication regularly and very rarely has it ever been an issue.

I do this all the time - buy  tickets in advance, pre-pay for car service, etc. and I use Square Register.  I take their credit card info and make sure that I'm paid by the guest the day that I incur the cost.   I don't take any service charge but I don't see any problem with you taking a service charge as you are providing a service to the guest.
