Airbnb has blocked a week in my calendar (in high season) pending ID verification from the guest. However, I have not received a guest enquiry, or any notification whatsoever by Airbnb. I only became aware that the dates were blocked when looking at another platform calendar - that synchs with Airbnb - I was suddenly surprised to a reservation that I was not familiar with!! Of course, the dates are blocked in all my calendars now, as they all syncronise. If the guest ends up not booking, other guests could have easily lost the opportunity of booking those same dates via Airbnb or other platforms. This is plain wrong and Airbnb needs to address it asap. I have read other threads on this same issue, they are months old now. Hosts need to receive a notification, and the dates should not be blocked until the guest has obtained the verifications needed and paid.
