Hi Amy, an SMS alert from Airbnb is just that, it is an alert and you cannot respond to a specific enquiry as a return from that alert. That will come from a section of the platform that has nothing to do with the actual enquiry, it is simply to let you know there is something you need to attend to
To respond to that alert you must either get to your computer, log on and go to your messages and the full details of the enquiry will be displayed there with the ability to respond.
The other alternative is to download the Airbnb app to your phone via this link.....

Make sure you wait until the app has fully downloaded on your phone, and when it has the information that is available on your computer will also be available on your phone. On your screen you will see the Airbnb logo and by tapping that you will be able to accept bookings and check your calendar just as you do on your computer.
When an sms comes in it will still come to your phone as an alert but, you will then be able to log into the app to be able to respond direct from your phone.
If the message has come to you from a confirmed reservation, the guest will have been given your personal phone number along with the reservation confirmation and the guest is sending a message to your mobile phone number, this will be a message that has been sent outside the Airbnb system and you will be able to respond to it directly just as you would an sms from anyone else, and the guest will be able to see your phone number
