Tips on what to include in the title of our place, please?!

Hi everyone,

I am new to hosting, started on Dec 1 and it has been going really well with lots of bookings and really good reviews on both sides.

I don't understand though how the app works in terms of searching and recognising words that are in our title. I'm trying to maximise people being able to find us. The title of my property on airbnb has the name of our suburb in it, as well as a couple of other words, but when I search for that suburb as a potential guest listings in different suburbs come up before mine? Can anyone explain how this works? Thank you.

@Melanie264, my understanding of the AirBnB search if that it doesn't search by words at all.

(Apparently it used to search by words, but it does not do so anymore.)

The map is what determines *where* it will search, and the filters determines *what* it looks for,

but the text in the search box does nothing but help choose the original location for the map.

So currently the only purpose of your title is to make your listing attractive to the human reading the title.

Feel free to remove the name of your suburb and put other cool, attractive words there.
