What if guest's stuff still in room after check-out time

This has never happened to me but I was wondering what I would do if 12 noon rolled around and my guest's stuff was still in the room but no guests to be seen, and I have new guests checking in 3 hours later. Does Airbnb have a policy for that?

What do hotels do in this situation?

Sometimes guests are confused with their dates...

1. Text them through app.

2. Call them

3. After a reasonable wait, start cleaning the room and store their belongings. Maybe take a picture to prove you haven't stole anything.
