can I cancel a reservation during the process WAITING FOR PAYMENT?

During the process WAITING FOR PAYMENT I received a booking for the same dates on another platform...

Unfortunately I'd need to cancel the airbnb guest party but of course dont want to violate policies.... does someone know if while WAITING FOR PAYMENT still allows to cancel?

I've had this happen a few times.  Same day booking, they submit request instead of inquiry,  I accept, then I get the "waiting for payment" and they don't fix it or respond, and I can't accept other guests.  It's infuriating.  It's losing me and airbnb income.  

I'd love to turn it off so if someone doesn't have payment secured, they can't hold the booking.  Anyone know how to do this?  Airbnb, are you listening?

Take your problem to AirBnB's FaceBook page and make your problem PUBLIC.  AirBnB likes it when you make the problems public.  Or you can call them.
