We are host for a beach house on Hatteras Island NC. The power line has been damaged to the island, and the State has issued a mandatory evacuation order of all non- residents. Our guests this week requested that we cancel their stay so they could get a full refund on their money – which I did. It now appears that negative rating could be posted against me, but it wasn’t done because this is the first instance of a cancelation on my record?
I now have a future guest (2 weeks out) wanting to cancel because it is un-know when the power will be restored to the island. What’s the best way to handle this?
