fax vs. email

fax vs. email

Hi, I was wondering if anyone uses fax instead of email.  It's just hard to keep checking email for reservations and responding to inquiries.  If I recieved a fax, it wouldbe easier.

Rita - no one really uses or even has fax machines these days...everything has moved to email

What's a fax?

No seriously as @Gerry-And-Rashid0 have said fax is very 80's I am afraid. In fact here in Australia a new fibre Broadband network is being progresively rolled out nationally and this network does not support Fax, At least in this country fax is in the same category as music cassettes and super 8 movies....nice to look back on, but not part of the present.

You did get me seeing the funny side of this though Rita. I can just imagine myself in an important meeting when suddenly the mobile phone goes, so I yell..."sorry excuse me a minute" while this fax belches forth from an aperture on the end of my mobile phone!!

Cheers......Rob

In the US the Government seems to use it, nobody else, but begs the question why, reply to an email in a few seconds, a fax takes a looooong time.

I think Rita is having us on. So I will suggest she list with FaxBnB. There the community forum answers "What is the fax number for customer service!" with "Actually, FaxBnB prefers you get in touch with them by pony express."

Rethinking. Apologies, Rita. You could be legit. Is wifi/data a problem where you live? Then there are no answers that will help. But if you CAN receive emails, and just want to print them because of staff, etc., there are ways to print emails automatically so it works like a fax. Not ideal, uses a lot of paper, but do an internet search for "print email automatically."

Fax is "old school". We got rid of ours when we started getting soliciting mail sent through it, using our paper of course! Very few people use fax machines anymore. Easier to scan a page to a pdf file and email it if you need to send a document. That way you also have a digital copy.
