Bad luck with that. I'm not sure I would try to charge. One, it will be very difficult to get Airbnb to see your side, but I tend to see this sort of 'wear and tear' as part of the job. I try to factor in unavoidable breakages into my pricing. With fires, people just don't know how to use them and unless you can spend time showing each guest, you've either got to stop them using it or accept there may be damage.
I may change my mind when something expensive gets broken! We've only had glasses/ bowls, that sort of thing. And some kitchen items stolen.
