looking for help in Cannes

Hi,

I just put my listing on Airbnb (Le Cannet limite Cannes), I live abroad and I need a serious person to do the check-in, check-out, cleaning and laundry, nedless to say the complete inventory.

I tried to contact some Superhosts with no success. Anyone could help or have a good idea?

Je viens juste de mettre mon listing sur Airbnb, je vis a l'etranger et j'ai besoin d'une personne serieuse pour faire les check-in, check-out, nettoyer l'appart et faire la lessive du linge utiliser, sans oublier l'inventaire!

J'ai contacte sans succes quelques Superhotes. Quelqu'un pourrait m'aider?

Lovely to meet you and welcome to the Community Center. 

As your listing is in France, you might have more luck posting something in the French speaking Community Center. 

I hope you receive some ideas. 🙂

I suppose you bought your property in Cannes through an estate agent ? Contact them, they may be able to help.  Renting through an agancy may be necessary until you get started on your own.  Multilingual caretakers do not grow on trees.

Thanks Marit Anne for your input. I don't know how thinks work in Norway but in France the real estate agents are not interested in few-days rentals. I have been a host with Airbnb for 4 years in the US and Paris, I am not sure why I am only level 2 but that doesn't really matter.

And I am sorry to say that I don't find your comment "Multilingual caretakers do not grow on trees" very appropriate (or nice). Actually it is already rented and I am not looking for my definition of a caretaker, but just to do the formalities, and the person doesn't need to be multilingual, I am always there (email, phone, Skype or WhatsApp) to solve any problem. On the other hand, many people in Cannes speak English.

I have been in France for 10 years, so just sharing my experiences.  It took me a few years to find the right person.  In the meantime I used an agency for the rental.  With the expenses involved, anything less than a week would not be worth the effort.

I know from experience that Real Estate agents want to rent for long term (1, 3 or moe years, depending on the type of property... thus the law).

I always put a minimum of a week rental in Hollywood and Paris (that's why I am not a superhost), many times Airbnb told me it was too restrictive but ther was the expenses and the condominium rules. In Cannes, I need reviews first, so I decided a minimum of 2 nights. And a low price. I know it's not easy to find the right person, but I already have 2 guests, I don't dare promoting it on other plateforms, I have to find a way to welcome them...

I wish I could help, but I am probably too far away to assist.  

Estate agents around where I am located also do holiday rentals, but maybe not so in Cannes.  But there should be pro agencies that can assist with what you need.  

As for the law, holiday rentals are not banned or illegal everywhere.  In my area we are actually encouraged to rent our places.  Our property is a typical holiday home on an estate, so that causes no problem at all.  I have had it classed as so-called "meuble de tourisme" - all legal and above board and approved by the mairie.

I'm a bit in your situation , being a brand new host and your neighbor (500 m away from le Cannet, chemin des collines) . abnb scares me a bit when I read the blog. I'm especially worried about respect of the house, cleanliness, as I suppose you  too have a very fine product! I am going to contact a real estate agent I know, but in the mean time, I will have someone to do the checklist (etat des lieux, in and out because this is a nightmare). I have had a sales experience with Engel Volkers, Cannes, which was just acceptable. I plan to be on the spot all july and august. I can try to help you out. I can put you in contact with the agent "veronique Donoyan". I expect a minimum of 10% fee for the check in-check out part. I expect cleaning fees to be beyond reality but a strict minimum . Cleaning is not getting rid of stains, spots, marks, scars. I hope this is covered by the deposit (way too low for any house in my point of view).

I live and work in  in Paris and have an apartment in Cannes. I am only in Cannes 3 months out of the year. So, I am also looking for someone to help me manage it the other 9 months.
