Game of...

Hello,

As it's Friday, I hope you will stick with me here, but I need to get this off my chest! Three words...Game of Thrones!!

Everywhere I go, my teamates, friends, family are talking about this TV show! I imagine if you are a fan, you may take a gasp when I reveal that I am still on series 3...I have been on series 3 for about 2 years now...

Are any of you watching this show or are you trying to avoid it like me??

There definitely are aliens. We're them if you don't mind me saying so 🙂

Friends and colleagues will say we musn't be from this planet 🙂

Somewhere in TV and film production land there must be a machine with a menu option that says "Give me 500,000 creatures sweeping down from the mountains with X in their hands" and a menu that makes X a light sword, a spear, a gun etc.

Oh, and it automatically makes a dragon fly overhead straight at the camera.

Some poor technician must have repetitive strain injury clicking on that menu as it's been used in Star Wars prequels, Lord of the Rings films and Game of Thrones episodes to name but a few 🙂

I think we might be in minority though. I am sure there must be some Game of Thrones fans here in our community. A friend of mine is an avid watcher, in the end I bought him the books so he could find out what was going to happen before the next series!

I like your observation Steve, it is funny though I like watching Star Wars and Lord of Rings, the settings of both are amazing, but I suppose that is true about GoT too. I went to New Zealand a few years back and every time I saw a mountain range I thought, oo that must be Mount Doom! hehe

I think Croatia has been the backdrop to quite a films hasn't it?

Yes, a few... Winnetou was filmed here in our national parks Paklenica, Plitvička jezera , Krka, Velebit, canyon Zrmanja and Vrlika. It was back in 1962-1968 🙂

I think today some travel agencies still offer tourist tours on those locations for Winnetou fans 🙂

No, I am not much of tv watcher, @Lizzie !  When watching tv I go for History channel, Discovery... recently I ve been watching things like Shark Tank and The profit 🙂

Wow... I had just an Idea ! 🙂
What about AirBnB producing a reality show named "The Host and the Guests" 🙂

I would never miss any episode of it!
I would like to contribute only behind the stage.
As for the Cast I would suggest some great stars of this community ! 🙂

@Lizzie actually... I joined a theater extracurricular back in elementary school. I remember that the "big show" was going to be Aladdin. When I was a little girl, I was really interested in the acting industry, but I do not think that I really have any skill in it, lol.

I am always amazed when I watch professional actor/actress doing a "difficult" emotional scene.

P.S. I am not doing any acting and I still would love a dressing room and makeup artist... ha ha 😄
