AirBnB allows hosts that lie cheat and steal

AirBnB is not the business it was when they first started. This is now a false platform for thieves. It’s got too much of an open space for bad hosts with their pathetic filthy nasty rental spaces in neighborhoods that no one in their right mind would walk into it without some sort of you know guard and then you go inside and you can’t even breathe because it smells so bad so a photograph it could be photo shopped or put a filter on or you know, darken and lighten everything up and you know advance the coloris a lie and then when you say check off amenities don’t exist that’s a lie and then AirBnB takes your money and then they give you the address of the scummy neighborhood to this building you’re gonna go into with a photograph you thought looked pretty OK is sick and dangerous and gross and they don’t care they just don’t care and they allow hosts to get away with this. It’s a crime it’s illegal it’s abusive it’s an attack and it’s stealing.

Basically they’re taking your money. They took mine many times and they’re not gonna give it back for awful awful places. I’ve stayed Peoples money they’re just gonna keep doing it and the people that you call the helpline so so helpline in the middle of nowhere and on the other side of the planet those folks are higher just to shut you up. Oh we’ll be fine out everything will be OK. I’m so sorry. I’ll let me get back to you. I’m not sure. I’ll let me ask. Oh yes we can help you with this. Oh I’m sure we can help. Let me get back to you. I’ll send this to a different level of help or we’re gonna send it to a special team or oh you didn’t respond so we’re closing the case at 4 AM you didn’t answer the phone so we’re closing the case you didn’t say anything so closing the case you didn’t help us they were closing the case you didn’t answer so we’re closing the case you didn’t reply we’re closing the case you know whatever it’s just all design to fail so that they have your money and they don’t care because they cannot regulate how clean places are, and if they’re really in a nice neighborhood if they exist of the bed does not bed mites or if there’s not like pee stains on the mattress or you know, mold in the shower, I mean I could pull photographs up off the Internet and put them on in my Airbnb. Who’s gonna know  AirBnB doesn’t care they just want someone to book because they think it’s some dreamy thing this AirBnB it’s all lie. All a lie

@Sherry517 I have copied the review for a place that you stayed in back in October 23. I think the highlighted bit says it all. For Airbnb to ensure it provides good places to stay reviews are critically important. If you do not read said reviews then you are more likely to get into a bad experience which I assumed is what has triggered your post here.

Oh this isnt gonna be enough room to say it all but I will try 1st theres a comfort here that you can only find at a beach community but as an Airbnb, there Has to be someone producing that comfort &for the most part it’s very rare Honestly, I didn’t expect it but I got it tenfold & I have to say that I am so lucky to have stumbled upon this really great experience Sometimes people think it’s supposed to happen, but it really doesn’t happen that often &You know but thats all Cush the people that you’re in contact with are the people that own it &run it thats how &why it’s really great they make it happen &I told them this but I want to say it here because if you’re reading reviews, it makes a difference &reviews can be key to how people choose an Airbnb I personally do not read the reviews because I really don’t care what other people think but in this one it was great so I’m leaving here super happy thanks guys for making my stay stand out from the rest🦋 thank you 🌸 Austin & Kathrine

You are right there are both hosts and guests who lie, cheat and steel in connection with stays at short term rentals.

You mention you have had awful experiences and disgusting rentals many times, but surprising you've never left a negative review for any host. And in your last review of a host you describe in your post as 'sick, dangerous and gross' your review is  positively glowing. 

You express concern about the locations you stay in but you can see on the map before you book where you will be staying. Why would you choose to consistently stay in inner city areas you describe as 'scummy neighbourhoods'?

It sounds as if the Airbnb platform is not a good fit for your accommodation bookings.
