Been superhosting for 3 years, but I am new to Bradenton/Anna Maria area. Our new property has been booked almost solid 90%+ occupancy… then April we have only 3 shorter length bookings. Is this normal for this time of year here in Florida? Slow down for late spring/summer?

@Gabrielle423 Sounds like you're probably encountering a slow season period. If that's the case it might be good to start discounting your rates to match the market. Also have a look at your booking lead time and present/future occupancy rates; Based on these numbers you would be able to predict when a drought is on the way quicker so you know how to adjust your rates 🙂

Yep, we redid photos and lowered pricing considerably plus updated listing description & some other info just to see if traction would pump up. Fingers crossed!!
Curious to Know if it worked out for you!

Bookings dropped severely after March 2024 despite lowering prices. My assumption is it was just normal end of traveler season. Most money is made October-February which still made our property profitable/worth the slow-down.
Can’t comment on this year since we are now remodeling the property and the area suffered 2 major hurricanes. I don’t expect to welcome guests again until late 2025.
Thank you @Gabrielle423 for coming back to us so quickly and sharing more about your experience ! @Rishabh38, I hope this helps. 🙂
