Thanks for responding. I think your advice is sound, although I would wish and hope that Airbnb would demand proof beyond relative number of positive reviews before making these decisions. I’ll definitely remove my payment information. I hope I don’t have to involve the courts, since that’s very expensive in this country, even if you’re on the winning side, and Airbnb has a lot more money (and many more lawyers) than I do.
I’ve reviewed Airbnb’s Reviews Policy and Content Policy, and I don’t see anywhere where it mentions attacks on character being a reason for removing a review. Is that rule listed elsewhere? Anyway, I don’t know how else to give a fair and accurate review in this case without commenting on the host’s character. Her character is what made her do what she did.
