What does AirBnB do about unsafe homes such as one with a pool, no fence, says perfect for kids? Seems like kids should not be allowed near pool with no safety fence, or at least called out

@Josh2346 The pool is featured very obviously in the first photo. Surely guests are able to determine for themselves if this is suitable for their children or not.
Safety features around a pool are part of the public safety legal system, and City Hall or County office - is where to find this information. The homeowner's insurance company would certainly object, as well, if the situation violates their safety requirements. The city or county would be the agency to issue the STR business permit for the owner of the home and whatever public safety regulations are in place would be part of their inspections prior to issuing.
