I’ve got my stay cancelled 5 days prior to my stay.

I am extremely disappointed with the service at Airbnb. I’ve got my stay cancelled 5 days prior to my stay.

Today I received a message from the Host via AirBNB chat telling me that she has cancelled my stay through Airbnb 5 days prior to my stay. Host doesn’t want to cancel through Airbnb app as she will have to pay a penalty and the host is trying to get me to cancel the stay myself so she wouldn’t pay for this penalty. This is unacceptable.

 

I find this very upsetting and I would like for you to have a resolution as soon as possible. I would like to have my money back so I can find another host quickly.  I have paid fly tickets already for the 26/12 and some other entertainment booking throughout my stay. and this situation has been very stressful as I need this to be resolved as quickly as possible.

It's appalling that the host is trying to make you cancel because she can't host you. Contact Airbnb and notify them this has happened. They should then try to help you find alternative accommodation and charge the host if there are additional costs involved. @Soraia36
