We booked a place but we could not make the trip afterall. There was no refund possible so we wanted to contact the host if they can give us some refund. But apparantly this place is managed by a company and everytime I send a message a new person replies. Why is it allowed by airbnb to allow companies to manage someone else's house?

@Konika1 Simply put it allows big companies to manage houses for their owners and hence increases revenues to Airbnb (and to owners who do not have time). If a host has more than a handful of properties I would always recommend guests steer clear of them as the personal touch is totally lost. For you I am afraid this suggestion is too late!
