It seems a guest brought roaches into the home or is leaving food out in her room.

Hi.  I've lived in my new build home for over a year, and have had a pest management service.  I never saw one roach in my home ever.  Then a new guest came and she's rarely here.  I saw one half empty drink in her bathroom, and am concerned about what she's leaving in her room.  I have not entered the room as in Texas that is illegal.  I have now seen 3 roaches in a week.  I'm calling a new pest service, but they will have to do a 3 ft spray inside and outside the home, and spray in the walls (new build homes have a valve outside the home that allows sprays within the walls).  In addition they will need to spray the weep holes.  Can I reasonably ask my guest to leave?  I myself am considering leaving for 1 day after the spray and treatments.  The service says they use people and pet friendly products.  I hate insects in my home, and again never saw any until this guest came.  I did send her a note not to keep food or open containers in her room.  I have no idea whether she'll comply and I did not put it house rules until just now.

Please advise.  I have no idea what to do.  I do know however I absolutely have to get on top of this right away and get the service done asap.

@Jennifer3995 No . You cannot ask the guest to leave. Just wait for the stay to complete unless the whole house is covered with roaches , which I very much doubt. Cockroaches usually hide and charm by moonlight , so I am not sure where you have seen them as they are generally well hidden during the day.Put your own fears aside and be realistic .It would be worse to poison your guest without telling them than to ask them to leave without a reason.Get this process done when you have some blocked maintenance time and if the guest complains about them then , be prepared to apologise , refund or cancel future guest but thats a hosts call ,and you are the host... Thank you. Yes I think I am over my initial freaking out. She was quite nice after I explained I have the best intentions.

@Jennifer3995 In many situations just talking to the guest solves the problem. As long as hosts and guests start talking with open minds all is well.
