Hi All. I am new to hosting, and I will be listing a private room for rent for the summer season. I welcome any advice!

@Diane1706 My first bit of advice is to put up a profile picture so guests can see who they are staying with. Of course some may discriminate but strangely in this situation it would not necessarily be a bad thing if they did.

Thanks Mike! Very good point, as a guest I would like to see my host is. I'll definitely add that.

Hi @Diane1706

That's very exciting! Is your room all setup already or are you getting is ready now?

We've got a lot of knowledgeable and experienced hosts, like Mike, who will be happy to give you more advice along the way. Are there any pressing questions on your mind ahead of the listing going live?

Have a lovely day 🙂

Emilie

Suggestions

Use AIRBNB Rooms and organize your pictures

Include pictures of everything living room laundry dining

Review amenities list your vey low, add refrigerator stove microwave everything you offer

Maybe turn off only experienced guests, you don't have to approve but now they can't even ask

Thanks Marie! I'll add to the listing, all very good points.
