I am very sorry but I need to confess that the issue actually didn’t particularly resolve, they guided me to my profile where in you go to government ID and here I added my PAN and I got a mail accepting my PAN so I closed the issue stating resolution without trying to reserve ( as I got busy elsewhere) but few days later when I came back to book the place I found out that the problem still exists.
I called Airbnb support and explained again and even told them that many people especially from India are facing this issue.
I even called Razorpay customer care but they clearly stated that the issue lies with Airbnb which I conveyed to them.
The latest which was yesterday I spoke to Airbnb support and explained the entire problem and even mentioned to them that there is some confusion between Airbnb and razor pay which they need to clear so that we end customers ( Indians) don’t suffer.
I am sorry on posting that my issue got resolved.
Airbnb stated that they will look into it and work out something.
