Prices Raised How?

Hello. I attempted to reserve two properties in Williamsburg, VA. Both hosts came back to say the calendar was not correct and the spaces were rented. Yet I see the properties listed but at higher prices now. I’m trying to understand. Who sets the prices?

@Lisa10063 The host sets their own prices. I fear you have come across an unscrupulous host who either didn't update their prices from last year or who thinks they can get away with a higher price this year. Hopefully you will find a decent host next time or filter the search for hosts who accept instant bookings - That way once you press book you (and they) are committed.
