Hi I asked a guest to reimburse me for damage in my kitchen. I thought it was caused by them. It turns out that the dishwasher is faulty and that they may have been a bit rough pulling on it but that it can be fixed easily. I now want to cancel my request as I haven’t been able to get any quotes from plumbers as Airbnb support have asked so I’m just getting my dad to put a new dishwasher in as I’ve got guests coming for several weeks and I just can’t wait for a plumber quote. How do I stop the request and close it down?

You can cancel a Resolutions Center Request. When logged into your account, type in the browser window:
https://www.airbnb.com/resolutions
You should see the request there and you can cancel it.
You can also click your profile photo/Help Center and you should see the reservation under "Recommended for Your" if the reservation is within 60days. Click that to get to the Resolution Center page to cancel:

I don’t know how you stop the request - but if you haven’t already, I suggest you contact the guest and let them know you WILL be cancelling it. Otherwise there’s a risk of a bad review, because they feel they have wrongfully accused.

No help from Airbnb so just a waiting game I guess, I have told Airbnb I do t want to charge the guests now as it’s just not worth the hassle and it was impossible for me to get quotes in the timeframe they wanted, it’s so hard to get tradesmen such as plumbers to come out fast as they are all so busy
