SPAIN: Registering reservations and guests to the Ministry of Interior

Hi fellow hosts,

I just want to find out what do you do if guests do not send or refuse to give you the required information that we need to send to the Ministry of Interior.

Do you cancel their booking, and does Airbnb assist regarding this?

Regards,

Cary

Hi @Cary178

Has this happened to you before, and if so how did you deal with it?

Perhaps some of our other hosts in Spain might have some advice for you: @Antonio-Luis0 @Jonathan2772 @Elaine701 @Mary6784 @Zsuzs-Es-Gerar0 @Daniel13989 @Milena36 @Viva--Costa-Del-Sol0 @Daniel1651 how would you approach this situation?

You could also try asking this question in the Spanish Community Center as there will be many more hosts from the country there, with valuable experiences to share with you!

Thanks 🙂

Emilie

Thank you very much Emilie.  I have reached out to Airbnb regarding this and they said that we can cancel the reservation without penalty against us.

However, they have advised that this requirement of sending their details should be included in the listing description to ensure the guests know what they need to comply with.

Regards,

Cary
