My first rental went very well. No worries with tenants. On the other hand, during the stay, the cushions of the new garden furniture were stolen. I don't think holidaymakers are responsible. Does AirCover intervene? If so, how does it work? There are some for +/- 500 EUR I think. Thank you.
@Eric7142 This is where people misunderstand what Aircover is and hence are often not properly insured. Aircover ONLY applies where the guest is responsible and only then if Airbnb agrees it should. As such an electrical fault causing a fire (or garden furniture stolen) needs to be claimed on your insurance. The problem comes though when hosts think Aircover covers them and often, the fact they have rented via Airbnb (or other STR platforms) actually invalidates the insurance they did have. This leaves hosts with no protection whatsoever.
