Thoughtful details guests love

Hello everyone,

One of the fun and unique aspects of Airbnb is that guests and hosts have a chance to meet each other while sharing their home. To make this stay even more memorable, some hosts like to prepare small, yet thoughtful extras.

There are some very inspiring conversations here in the Community Center, where many of you have shared the multitude of creative things you do to go above and beyond for your guests. Here are a few handy highlights:

• @Alexandra316  started an incredible topic on “Going above and beyond for guests,” showing how small gestures can make a big impact, providing guests with a memorable stay.

• @Casey-And-Dane-lle0 also asked “What to put in the fridge?”. Providing welcome baskets and local treats were some of the ideas that were brought up by other hosts.

It’s easy to think that extra touches have to be expensive, but it can be something simple which you can reuse time and again, such as a chalkboard with your guest’s name on it or even just thinking about those things your guest wouldn’t necessary pack, like here in the UK a handy umbrella can help to save the day! These little touches can really make your guest feel at home.

We provide farm fresh organic eggs from our chickens, local fresh cream for coffee, variety of teas, butter, maple syrup, pancake mix and oatmeal.  Included in an old German canister set is rock salt, flour, raw sugar, coffee beans, oil and vinegar. Salt and pepper grinder, spray oil as well as full 22 jar spice rack.

Dining table is set with fresh flowers, placemats and cloth napkins. 
The bathroom is stocked with Covid tests, Advil,  makeup remover pads, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, ear swabs, nail polish remover, magnified lighted mirror, hairdryer, bar soaps and a shower wall unit with body wash, shampoo and conditioner which is topped off after each stay.
The bedrooms have Cubie clocks with charging accessories and sound machines.  There is a decorative set for tissue box, hand lotion pump and jewelry tray on a small table. 
Pillow choices are a must! 
We have an Alexa softly playing smooth jazz when they arrive. And a pump of Thieves essential oil… a little aroma of cinnamon, clove, rosemary, eucalyptus, lemon.
Our guests express their appreciation of a specially inviting, alive, warm and comfortable place.
