Your translation gets the basic gist but even the title understates what the book contains. Yep, is documents but the documents are exact replicates of every Scottish King's charter going back 100's of years.
Rather than just medals it is also an icon for coin collectors it has exact replicas of every coin made in Scotland at that point going back several hundred years. The coin images are engraved to exact size and to amazing detail. One of most spectacular ones I just attached is Mary Queen of Scots wedding coin when she was, for a brief period, heir to Scottish, English and French thrones. I can pretty much guarantee even most Scots have never seen this book or this coin.
Technically the book likely should be in a museum, and I may donate it at some point.
Fortunately living in Colorado, the extra dry climate is perfect for an old book like this, ![image1.jpeg image1.jpeg](https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/113834iA155E892A1A09A0A/image-size/large/is-moderation-mode/true?v=v2&px=999)
