Few hours ago I commented a post on this very forum about my horrible experience on Airbnb with Host "Mark" in Budapest.
Long story short the Host intruded into my room, with a set of spare keys, stole my laptop and wallet, trashed my belongingings causing a damage of nearly 4000£ , which was recognised by their expertes on their internal insurance platform, but which sadly never was solved.
I complained about the Host being totally unlawfully, I have done 2 reports to the Hungarian police, contact a lawyer and sent a letter to the Host to inform my will to proceed on the matter. Of course during the review process I mentioned the whole thing to make sure no one will ever experience such a problematic situation. Guess what ? Out of the blue Airbnb privately messaged :
"Hello Cosimo,

The review didn’t have enough relevant information to help the Airbnb community make informed booking or hosting decisions.
[the review content stated something like : I have been robbed by the host, please do no book through this person]

If you check my profile you will notice that the host review appears on mine and of course is not pleasent.
So where is the Justice? the Transparency?
Luckly on Google Maps is it possible to leave reviews that are not taken away from this Platform.
Have a look on ** (copy and paste the url section of your browser)
Knowing how the platform cancels the thread that are unconvinient , I am not sure this thread will be on for long or either my profile. So I will update the outcome on Google Maps
