asking money or file Aircover

Hi, guys, need advice on whether or not  I should send a request for money or file a Aircover after guests left our place messy dirty and donut wheel spin on our lawn. If I do, when is the best time? The Airbnb web says that hosts have 14 days to ask. But we also have 14 days to finish blind folded two-way review process. I dont feel like to ask for payment while the guest still have time to write an unfair review. Guests will not like to pay damages they caused naturally.

@Greg2106 am thinking if the guest realized the mess left in the house, they're unlikely to leave a review. I have a pending situation going on, if you think the mess includes damages, go ahead and submit pictures to Airbnb for resolution.
