fees charged to host for not wanting guest after researching their back round

What do you do when you find out a guest is a risk and dangerous and you don't want to rent to them but the people that service at air bnb don't care and they charge you ridiculous fees  thousands of dollars  for cancelling ? my advise is to do your own  back round checks on people.
