I have the 'moderate or non-refundable' cancellation policy currently selected for one of my properties, which a friend just tried to book. I asked the friend to call me before booking because he had noted the total price was alot more than I had promised him. He talked me through each of the screens he saw as he went through the booking process. Two things concerned me:
1. He was never presented an option to get the non-refundable rate
2. the final step in the process happens when. you click "Confirm and Pay"...which really just means "PAY". There is not a confirmation step after the user selects their preferred payment method (pay now, pay later, or split it up).
This particular property has had much less activity than our other two of late, and much less as compared to last year. I'm concerned that there's a setting that isn't right but cannot figure out what it is. Would there be any place other than the cancellation policy and the Rule Set that is applied to the dates in question that would impact the options presented to a prospective guest?
Thanks,
Nicole
(East of Acadia is the property I'm referencing here, for anyone that decides to check it out)
The non-refundable option is only presented when certain conditions are met.
The payment options "pay now, pay later, or split it up" are offered only by Airbnb also when certain conditions are met. BTW "Pay later" does not excists, only pay directly or pay by payment plan (two installments)
You can find conditions in the HELP files, search for "no-refundable" and "payment plan"
BTW
I simulated a booking on your newest listing and it is offering me the "non-refundable" option !
