Shower or bath - which one do you offer?

Hello everyone!

There is nothing more refreshing than a shower after a long journey, or more relaxing than a hot bath and a glass of wine after a busy day.

Everyone has their own preference over whether they are a bath person, a shower person, or maybe both!  It’s definitely something that guests will look for in a listing.

I’d love to know whether you have a bath, a shower, or both in your listing!  Do you have a preference?  What made you decide to go for one over the other?

Please let us know about what you offer in your listing, and even how it measures up against your personal preferences!  Perhaps you’ve got something a little different, like an outdoor shower?

I’m looking forward to reading your comments about what bathing amenities you offer for your guests.

Interesting that statistics show that a female buyer might be put off by no bath. I wonder, do these statistics show how many of those female buyers have very young children? Because, otherwise, I don't see why it would be a deal breaker. I honestly can't see that being able to shave your legs in a bath would be a deal breaker when it comes to buying a house! 

I am with you on the nylon shower curtains. I am not a fan. The one in the last airbnb I stayed in (which was a very nice listing) drove me nuts. The whole shower/bath situation was very ill thought out, which was strange seeing as the host had done such a good job of thinking about just about everything else.

I’m not a fan of baths myself. Never use the tub if there is one when I travel (my teenage daughters do, though). My husband has a bad knee, so when we travel, we stay away from combined bath/showers, as they are no good for him.

At home we have both an indoor jacuzzi (never use it) and an outdoor jacuzzi (I use it maybe 5 times/year). The outdoor jacuzzi we decided to empty a month ago - with the current electricity prices it did not make sense to keep it running. 

My listing is a pretty basic tiny house, with a very basic bathroom. It was a demo house before we bought it and had it moved to our property. We therefore did not have any choice when it comes to shower or bath - but would have chosen shower if we had ordered it custom made. 

I do however agree with @Gordon0: Shower curtains are horrible! I have been wanting to for a while, and have now finally ordered proper shower walls for the bathroom. Am waiting for them to be delivered - am really looking forward to it! Hopefully they will not only feel more practical, but also give my boring bathroom a much needed “facelift”.

@Trude0  What kind of shower wall did you get? We just converted one of our bath/showers into a full shower, and had a glass partition installed. Code dictates that there has to be a 22” opening, so unfortunately water splatters out a bit. I put a water-absorbing mat there to solve that problem, so now it’s not too bad. Still curious what others do when they do this type of conversion, though.

@Pat271 I’m getting these. I guess they are shower doors, not walls. They are foldable, to take up less space when not in use.
