Why I do not list my Washer/Dryer

I have a washing machine and dryer.  It’s not in my amenities anymore.  With that said, I do allow most of my guest to use when ask. However, they must adhere to the instructions I give.  it wasn’t always like this, I would get a lot of kids couch surfing, they would search for apartments with washer/dryer. They show up and wash and dry the entire night.  They wash pieces at a time. Not only does it heat up my apartment. the electric cost was through the roof. I try to give the benefit of a doubt, however they proved me right over and over. I removed that amenity off my listing.  I allow responsible guests access.

I have never listed washing machine and dryer in my amenities list. It seems like the odds for improper operation is pretty high without clear instructions given.

I have actually seen nearby hosts being given negative reviews (less than 4 stars) because the washing machine and/or dryer does not work property for whatever reason (usually due to improper operation). That must suck.
