AO16 Schedule!

I know many of you are eagerly awaiting the schedule for AO16. It has just been announced!

This year with over 55 sessions and workshops taking place, the Open timeline has been split into 8 different categories:

• Airbnb News
• Delighting Your Guests
• Community Involvement
• Hosting Success
• Inspiring Entrepreneurs
• New Tools for Hosts
• Partnering with Cities and Neighborhoods
• Transformative Travel

Each day has different activities and to view the specific day-to-day plan, take a look here.

Hi Lizzie,

Thanks for psoting this! In Seattle, we had somene from corporate reach out with some hosts to discuss some cahnges that may happen with legistlation in the future. I can't find the contact info for my rep, she had an unusual name, do you know if there is a rep in a directory somewhere at corporate that you could point me to for the Seattle area? 

Basically I just want to do a follow up before things change with the laws. 🙂

If this should be posted somewhere else, jsut let me know.

Hello Lizzie,

so looking forward to come to my second Airbnb Open! I registered today for a visit of Hollywood Hiden LA on Thursday, the 17th but when I came back I saw that my choice has been changed to Los Feliz Hiden LA. How come? It is frustrating if my choice changed without my conscent...

Also, we will be two to come to the event, when I register for the tour or restaurant is it only for myself or for both of us please?

I really need help about this situation...

Lovely to meet you both and a warm welcome to the Community Center. 🙂

-Starting with your question Chris, I will try and find the person who looks after this in your area and get back to you, if this is OK with you? Also, are you going to the Open?

-This does sound a little strange Julie, I don't have an explanation for this. What I would say is that I believe you can still change your choices, so perhaps log back in and try and change this. Also, the event preferences apply to everyone you ordered a ticket for.

Concerning my choice for the Neighborhood exploration, I was able to put back Hollywood  for the area but my interest for Hiden LA doesn't appear anymore, so I could only choose Art and Culture or culinary. Is Hiden LA already full?

Hi again, Lizzie!

I had the same problem than Julie. I chose Hollywood too, and when I came back, the situation had changed, I was assigned to another area, which I saved once I saw that the system had made changes and I did not want to be left out, but what I would really like is to be assigned again to the Hollywood area, where I signed (either if they accept one person more, or another group is formed). Let's see what happens. In any case, from now on, and for any other occasion, I will do screenshots of what I chose. I'm remembering the film "A few good men" (Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, Jack Nicholson...): "What matters is what I can prove" (more or less)

The night before I signed, Airbnb hosts and spanish staff had experienced a very interesting meeting, I slept a few hours, but I was concentrated when I looked the Schedule, the Neighborhoods Explorations, ... I think that in the Schedule, apart from the activity, the place, and the speakers that will take part, you will end up adding the address of the place, to help locate the place.

Thank you very much indeed, Lizzie. I do appreciate it. Speaking again about films, as Harvey Keitel said to John Travolta in Pulp Fiction , I would say to the AO Team try to solve this, "pretty please"  (after the "A please would be nice" from John Travolta) 🙂

If I could suggest another thing, wouldn't it be possible that Airbnb gets feedback (in these posts, in mails addressed to open@airbnb.zendesk.com or other) and asks in short mails for the attendees wishes, and organizes more groups when needed?

It's not nice that after waiting with tons of illusion to the next Open from the day the Open in Paris was stopped, after having to do many kilometers/miles to arrive to LA (related to that illusion), then due maybe to technical issues (that sometimes are I think unavoidable if hundreds of attendees want to register at the same time), the choices of the attendees are not the original ones, and there is disappointment that could be avoided? I'm sure the organization wants to take care of us as we want to take care of the guests that have trusted and selected us, maybe feedback and more groups is then the solution. This could be "kool and the gang" / "tiptop", coming again to Pulp Fiction, which happens in LA, don't you think?

Great to meet you @Susan234, in terms of sign-up for the activities on Oct 17th and 18th this is now open and you can do this via your Airbnb Open profile. Take at look at Clément's post about sign-up here in the AO board for more information on this.

When I try to set up my schedule, it says my pass ID is invalid.

My pass ID came up through Airbnb, I didn't post it myself.
