[April 29th] The Host Talk - Sustainability

Hey everyone,

After the CC social’s success, a few members have shared their desire to have a new type of online get-together where we could have more Hosting focused conversations.

With that in mind, we have decided to give your idea a go! 😊

Apart from the Social meet-up, we now have The Host Talk, a Community Center meeting for sharing and discussing pre-chosen Hosting related topics. 

We plan on giving you guys the chance to vote on your preferred subjects in the future, but to kick things off, this first session will have the theme of Sustainability.🐛

@Anna1403 , our sustainability focused HAB member, will be joining the conversation with fellow hosts who are interested in sharing their experience and coming up with insights for a more sustainable way of Hosting.

The meet-up will take place on Thursday April 29th, 3:30PM (BST).

Thursday April 29th, 10:30AM (New York / Toronto)

Thursday April 29th, 4:30PM  (Spain)

Thursday April 29th, 11:30PM (Seoul)

I try to be there the last meeting I was 17 hours to late waiting at 11.30pm when should have been up at 6.30am

Ola me chamo Clarice, gostaria de compartilhar nossos esforços aqui em nossa hospedagem, um tema bem interessante que sempre gosto de puxar é sobre o "lixo" .

Nòs temos aqui trabalhado com os hóspedes a questão da separação e oferecemos nossa lixeira orgânica. E também temos parte do nosso esgoto, sendo tratado ecologicamente. Até breve!

Oh how I wish I could speak portuguese! So lovely to see different languages here in this wonderfully international space. Have you lived in Brazil @Liv ?

@Mary996 I'm Brazilian actually 😊 I lived there until I moved to the UK a couple of years ago.

I agree, it's lovely seeing people from all over the world coming together in the CC. 💕

Yay Liv. You are Brazilian...!! How wonderful. A very dear friend that I made whilst nursing in London came from San Paulo. He was so dynamic always dragging me off to places and informing me of the difficult politics of Brazil. He was a real shaker and mover. He was also very assertive and stood up against wrongs that existed then and which made it difficult for him to stay in his home country.

We were going to go to Glastonbury together to see Fleetwood Mac. But at the last minute duty called at the Hospital so I couldn't go.... can you imagine!!!! However the following year I saw Genesis live - so does that elevate my kudos????

I'd love to attend but it's always during the work day or way past bed time on a weeknight. You've done Australasia and North American friendly scheduling. How about Europe?
