The Community Center is an online community where Hosts from around the world connect and support each other.
We value every contribution Hosts make in the Community Center. Your experiences, the expertise you share, and the way you encourage one another make this community so special and valuable for all Hosts.
Within this great community, we want to recognize a unique group who are always ready to share their unique perspectives and support fellow Hosts. We call this group Top Contributors.
Top Contributors have a positive impact through the Community Center. Airbnb selects them based on the helpfulness of information they share and the volume of their activity in the Community Center.
Here are four ways we’ll acknowledge Top Contributors:
*Example of Top Contributor label below:
Top Contributors are not just active and knowledgeable Hosts in the Community Center. They also represent the Airbnb Host community. As such, Hosts who don’t follow the Community Center Guidelines, or Airbnb Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Community Policies, including the Non Discrimination Policy, are not eligible to be part of this group. Moreover, if existing Top Contributors breach any of the above, they could also be removed from the group.
Being part of the Top Contributors group is optional. We created this group to ensure that some of the most knowledgeable and active Hosts in this community are recognized. However, there is no obligation to participate in this group. Top Contributors will be reviewed and assessed every six months.
Hi @Debra300 Would you like me to have a look at your signature and add spaces? Happy to help with this one 😍
Yes, thank you. It would be great also if the font size could be smaller like the text in your signature.
Just wondering why I'm not a Top Contributor?
I'm very thankful Airbnb is a review based system so not complaining. All of the interaction I've had on hosing forums doesn't compare to a single guest who loved there stay and appreciated the hard work. its just two totally different worlds.
Hello @John5097!
Becoming a Top Contributor is not just about the quantity of posts, but also their accuracy, and the consistency of being active on the Community Center. Accurate, helpful answers with supportive resources are the key aspects.
Since this program is specific to the Community Center, these key aspects are the ones that will be taken into consideration. Being a Superhost and the participation in this forum are two separate areas. Continue providing valuable, precise, and supportive advice, you might be recognized as a Top Contributor in the next assessment!
@Quincy
You know I'm always very impressed with the Community Managers here who are very smart and great communication skills, but as far as accuracy, the host with the highest ratings will be the most accurate when it comes to issues about hosting on Airbnb.
Airbnb should try and focus on the host and listings with the highest ratings and find out what they are doing.
I just don't see this as being inclusive, to hand select a few contributors. It's a review based system. It's not easy or perfect but there is a reason review based systems work, and a reason guest only trust the other guest reviews. The rest is just spam and marketing.
I just see the online hosting forms as very controlling.
I also don't need any more trophies. I'm booked all the time, at the top one percent of listings, and rave reviews.
Thank God for guest reviews. Overall it helps guide other guest to be more grounded in reality as there are so many myths and misunderstandings about Airbnb, and people try and amplify the problems.
I understand your point, however I think our comments on various subjects on this platform adds value to our hosting skills and the Airbnb offer to guests. I think the idea behind is to encourage us to participate in the discussions
@Linda-and-Peter0
Yes I've contributed to these topics for years. Apparently from the comments I'm posting too much. I wish the community organizers would stop tagging me in various topics. I've always been constructive and have tried to help other host and don't resort to snide remarks.
